Toronto International Festival of Authors 2026

The Toronto International Festival of Authors runs from October 28 to November 1 at Victoria University in the University of Toronto. The literary gathering brings writers and readers together through conversations, readings and other programmed activities, creating a substantial Canadian cultural event at the end of October.

Publisher updates, local literary coverage and authors’ interviews can provide different perspectives on the works and ideas discussed. The festival’s overall dates should be distinguished from individual appointments and advance events elsewhere in the city. Ticket listings and programme sessions show different opening times, so no single festival start hour is asserted here. Confirm the specific session before sharing attendance or online viewing information.

Pass listing begins 13:00; first programme sessions 14:30. Opening time left blank; individual sessions require booking check.
