Mexico City Day of the Dead parade 2026

Mexico City has announced its major Day of the Dead parade for October 31. The event forms part of a wider programme of public celebrations, installations and cultural activities in the capital. The city announcement describes a route toward the Zócalo, making local transport and street information especially relevant.

Municipal notices should be checked alongside local cultural reporting and live traffic updates. Different promotional listings describe the starting point differently, so this entry does not present a disputed route or unverified start time as settled. The parade is also distinct from the earlier Catrinas procession and from community observances on November 1 and 2. Coverage should preserve those distinctions when helping readers choose what to follow.

Route starting-point discrepancies across listings; exact time not independently settled.
