Israel Knesset election 2026

Israel votes on October 27 to elect the 120 members of the Knesset. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing record, security and the country’s political direction are central issues in the campaign. The parliamentary contest determines the balance of parties from which a governing coalition must be assembled; it is not a direct presidential election.

Election authority notices, Hebrew- and Arabic-language reporting, international correspondents and party statements can be followed together. Distinguish exit polls from counted ballots, and seat projections from a completed coalition agreement. Coverage should also explain the electoral threshold and the gap between an initial result and the formation of a government.
