Algiers International Book Fair 2026

The Algiers International Book Fair opens with an official inauguration on October 28, followed by public admission from October 29 to November 7 at the Palais des Expositions des Pins Maritimes. The fair provides a major platform for publishers, authors and readers from Algeria and the wider Arabic- and French-language book worlds.

Organizer schedules, Algerian cultural reporting and publisher announcements can be compared to identify discussions and author appearances. The inauguration is reserved for official delegations, book professionals and media, so it should not be advertised as the first public visiting day. Public opening hours are a separate appointment from individual book launches and conference sessions.

Inauguration October 28; public access starts October 29. Some organizer pages retain a stale edition number; current date notice and APS identify the 29th edition.
