AfrikaBurn Film Festival 2026

The first AfrikaBurn Film Festival presents films at Cape Town’s Labia Theatre on October 26 and 28. The announced features explore creative experiences associated with AfrikaBurn, bringing stories from the temporary desert community into an established urban cinema setting.

The programme offers an opportunity to compare artist perspectives, local cinema reporting and discussion of participatory cultural production. The organizer lists evening screenings rather than an uninterrupted three-day programme, so October 27 should not be presented as a confirmed screening day. Interviews or reviews may be followed remotely, while access to the actual films depends on the cinema and rights holders.

Screenings October 26 and 28 only; end date expresses event span, not daily activity.
