TCS New York City Marathon 2026

The New York City Marathon takes place on November 1, following its five-borough course from Staten Island to Central Park. Elite athletes and a large field of recreational runners make it both an international sporting contest and a city-wide public event. The race has separate starts rather than a single moment when every participant begins.
NYRR’s race-day information, official results and local reporting can be followed alongside licensed sports coverage. Neighbourhood accounts are useful for understanding spectators, road closures and runner support, while timing data provides the basis for sporting claims. New York changes to standard time that morning, so use the America/New_York timezone rather than reusing the previous week’s UTC offset.

Multiple wave/division start times; blank time avoids presenting the listing’s 08:00 as the elite or mass start. Daylight-saving transition November 1.
